Go figure why... ;-) Note that the model's specs changed a lot during the 1930s. The DR style version with 13 5/8" wide body and segmented f-holes was only built between c. 1933 and early 1935. Later in 1935 the model changed to standard cello f-holes and soon also got a wider body, making it a different guitar altogether. I estimate that total production of Olympics with early specs was not more than maybe a few hundred - and the number of examples surviving in good condition significantly lower than that. But they do surface, and with a bit of luck ... less
