The Weekend - Dave Rawlings Machine

I reckon Gill plays it open (see below) Dave probably chokes up to the 5th 'cause he can play G scale?

I could write it out for capo 5 I guess? There's only one odd thing about the way dave plays it he uses a weird Bm chord 220000 for the open Em (as discovered in the video - BTW Bianca Alatorre sure is a hottie)

C I hit the weekend G just like a freight

    Am I got there early F I couldn’t wait

C I made a friend or two G along the way

Am You want the detail F but what can I say

Am There’s the ballerina, F the foreign cartel

Am The opera singer, D the southern belle

Am They’ve all got something F strange and new

Am They’ve all got something D but not like you

    C Em F F Whoa oh oh oh oh (x4) G lick ( 0-1-3 on B string then G)

C It’ll take some time to G get back on course

Am I’ve got to find my F runaway horse

C She was the best friend G a man ever had

Am Now I’m going down the road D feeling bad

    C Em F F Whoa oh oh oh oh (x4) G lick (x2) G

     Am G F Em (x4) Instrumental & Next verse

Friday is forever, Saturday flies past

Sunday start coming down – the good ones never last

The good ones never F last….

C What became of the red rooster G after the tragedy

Am What became of you, girl F and what became of me

And she said C "I had good fortune G silver, silk and wool

Am I gave it all away and D now my heart is full"

C Em F Whoa oh oh oh oh x4

    C Em F  x4

C I hit the weekend G just like a freight

    Am I got there early F I couldn’t C wait

Thanks.  This song is more amazing ever time I hear it.  The orchestration is subtle but really adds something different to this song.
