Thanks for the opportunity to join this Group and I look forward to sharing GWDR information. Music that I like takes on an extra dimension when I have someone to share it with. Exactly how long I've followed Gillian, I'm not sure. It was quite some time ago that I began noticing the rangy, red haired singer with the soft smile and down home shoes. Right away I knew that this was a talented musician with a voice and style, who I would listen to the rest of my life. My memory is not crystal clear on this, but I don't remember Dave from the beginning and I can't imagine his virtuosic guitar performance not jumping right out at me. Maybe I was too spell bound by the simple, honest sounds of Gillian's voice and guitar. Fortunately it has been my pleasure to see them each perform on promotional tours of their new CD's (both times from the front row).
On the personal side, I reside with my wife in Bel Air, Maryland, just above Baltimore. We have easy access to Washington DC or Philadelphia PA, which gives us access to many concerts. NYC is not out of the question either, in fact it was at The Beacon Theater in NYC that we first saw David & Gillian perform. I have my own business, a photography studio, which I opened in 1982. We have grown children and our Jager, a wonderful Beagle. As much as I love music I do not play an instrument although I was an Irish fiddle player in a past life. Have a wonderful holiday season. less
